Join us for a fun and hands-on mug-making workshop! Whether you’re crafting your new favorite coffee cup or a quirky gift for a friend, this class will guide you through the basics of handbuilding to create a one-of-a-kind mug. No experience? No problem! This workshop is open to all levels and is the perfect way to unwind and get creative. All clay, tools and firings included in the price No makeups for missed workshop. Cancellations before 3/15/2025 to be considered for a refund. Teacher Bio: Mary is the Studio & Operations Manager at Bushwick Ceramics and a professional ceramicist. Originally from Indiana, she earned her undergraduate degree in Washington, D.C., where she took her first wheel-throwing class in 2017. Since then, she has explored various ceramic techniques, including handbuilding, mold making, slipcasting, and press molding. In 2023, she completed a master’s degree in Product Design in Milan, Italy, focusing her thesis on integrating food waste into traditional ceramic production techniques. During her three years in Milan, she worked at Officine Saffi Lab as a production potter, specializing in glaze experimentation, luxury ceramic jewelry production, and handbuilt home decor. Now based in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, Mary is excited to grow her brand, Shipley Goods, while contributing to and learning from the Bushwick Ceramics clay community.
